Relax and Indulge

Each Villa has their own private beach access, including an infinity edge pool surrounded by lush tropical landscaping and an abundance of aromatic flowers. Multiple shaded seating on the extensive decks provides areas to relax and enjoy extraordinary views of neighboring islands beyond the azure waters of the lagoon.  A stay in any one of our Villas includes a personal masseuse. Saku Villa and Vatu Villa each have a private massage bure on their decks, while Delana Villa has a dedicated massage room and boasts an additional Jacuzzi bath.

Yoga instruction is on offer, and each Villa is provided with yoga mats for guest use.

Explore

Island guests are welcome to enjoy diverse water and land activities including our organic four-hole golf course, putting green and club pavilion with shade and fresh cool drinks.

Jump on one of our SUP’s or kayaks to explore our reefs and lagoon or to witness the spectacular sunsets from an ocean water perch.

Our fringing reefs are home to a variety of marine life as well as hard and soft corals. You can experience snorkeling just off the island or travel deeper free diving or scuba diving at our untouched world class dive sites.

Vatuvara Private Islands offers licensed PADI instruction for scuba lessons and a minimum four-day course for Open Water Certification. All the equipment you need is here and available on the island. Houdini - the island’s 11-meter Naiad boat is at the ready whenever you are. Charters are available to our guests for sustainable fishing of pelagic fish in deeper waters outside the reef system.

Bring some good walking shoes for a trek to the Red Prawn Cave or for the more adventurous hike to an ancient Fijian Village.

As a special treat for our guests, we offer a unique South Pacific private island picnic. Our marine fleet is at the ready to drop you off on one of the nearby uninhabited palm-fringed islands together with a cooler full of island delights, shade umbrella, comfy pillows and beach towels. Spend your time snorkeling or exploring and we will whisk you back home when you call.

Enriching Culture

A stay at Vatuvara Private Islands combines the ultimate in luxury comforts with the opportunity to authentically immerse yourself into the island’s magnificent Fijian culture, to absorb the local traditions and flavor while enjoying the rich symphony of island life.

There is plenty to explore on Kaibu Island, including a guided trek to hidden caves or ancient Fijian Villages. Guests can witness more of the vibrant culture through Fijian kava ceremonies and meke (Fijian traditional dance), whilst the endearing local band sings along.

Fitness and Wellness

Guests wishing to achieve specific wellness goals are able to do so with the completion of our new state-of-the-art Fitness and Wellness Centre. A range of cardio equipment is available, including the peloton bike, treadmill, elliptical and rowing machine; also complemented by free weights, boxing area, yoga studio, Pilates reformer, stretching area and 20-meter lap pool.

Conservation Awareness

Guests have the opportunity to experience sustainable luxury and pristine nature-based recreation in one of the world’s most beautiful places.

It is our priority to protect our environment and have created the Vatuvara Foundation, a local nonprofit committed to protect and revive oceans in Northern Lau through a network of marine protected areas and provide innovative solutions that promote awareness and empower local communities.

A personal private island picnic is offered on our neighboring island reserve, Vatuvara, teeming with terrestrial and marine life.

At Vatuvara Private Islands, there are an abundance of low-impact activities from snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, paddle boarding, craft and gourmet cooking lessons, flower arranging, organic gardens tours, coral gardening and guided cave hikes. Guest not only observe the environment but interact in both the land and sea.

Guests can put on snorkeling gear and swim out into the pristine lagoon to encounter marine life such as our giant clam and coral restoration nurseries, sea turtles, spotted eagle rays, reef sharks and colorful fish among vibrant corals.

Our resident Environment Scientist, who runs the Vatuvara Foundation, facilitates guest education experiences to showcase the wonders of these islands and surrounding reefs.
